Narrative Design

Pod Owner Journal

  • Led the development of the Journal feature, collaborating with the World Architect to write and design Journal entries.
     

  • Integrated the elements (texts, sketches) in the Journal 

Pod Owner Collectibles

  • Collaborate with different departments to ensure the production of collectibles.
     

  • Worked closely with the UI department to design and implement the Collection Menu.
     

  • Oversaw the integration of various collectibles.

General Writing

  • Collaborated with the UI department to design and develop the Skill Tree.
     

  • Created and balanced new skills in partnership with the Combat team.
     

  • Worked with the Level Design team to develop tutorials.
     

  • Partnered with the Narrative Director to ensure consistency in the IP vision throughout the game.
     

  • Wrote texts for the tutorials, menus, objectives, DLC content, and more.
     

  • Wrote for the other media of the IP

Game Design

Pod Owner of the Player Progression and Skills

  • Mandate : Bring to completion the design for the player progression.
     

  • Creation of new skills

    • Creation of the UX of the Skill Tree

  • Developed a balanced progression when unlocking skills 

    • General balancing 

    • Skills, upgrades, etc.​

  • Collaborated with the Level Designer Director to design the tutorials.

    • General flow for each tutorial.
       

  • Designed achievements and accessibility features

    • Audio Cues System ​

Audio Cues

Designed an audio cue system to assist visually impaired players by signaling collectibles and environmental obstacles. Note: I did not create any of the sounds.

Skills

Third Eye

After Peeking, objects remain highlighted for a longer time.

Revenant's Shield

After Stepping out of an enemy, become invulnerable to damage for a short time.

Shield Ricochet

Blocking a bullet with your Shield deflects it to the nearest enemy. Does not work with explosive ammo.

Shade Overload

At the end of a Stepping sequence, the final enemy you Step out of receives damage. The more Steps in the series, the more damage is dealt.

In this email interactive experience, I wrote a short branching story that reflects the adventure offered by Unknown 9: Awakening. This is a short '' Choose your own adventure '' email serie that push the player into actions by using Haroona's abilities to complete her mission.
